The victims were identified as a suspected raider and children aged 11 and 13.

An unknown number of people were reportedly injured.

The administrator said officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Garba Tula Sub-county went to the scene for investigations.

“DCI officers are on the ground to find the root cause of the attack, which I will confirm later,” he said.

Security personnel from Garba Tula in Isiolo and Lagdera in Garissa were dispatched to the area to beef up security.

The attack follows the killing of two people on Saturday in a clash between armed groups from Isiolo and Garissa, at Uchana in the latter county.

One person was injured in this incident and on Sunday morning, two people were wounded during a botched cattle raid at Mata Bofu, Isiolo, by suspected rustlers from Lagdera.

A few hours after the botched raid, one person was injured when fracas erupted at Modogashe livestock market.
