Police in Malindi have arrested a man and his son found in possession of 478 roles of bhang.

Malindi deputy OCPD Mike Njeru said the suspects were arrested in their house following a tip off from members of the public.

Addressing the press at Malindi Police Station, Mr Njeru said police are searching for more suspects.

“The suspects were found in possession of 478 roles of bhang concealed in sacks with another six kilogrammes of unrolled bhang,” he said.

He  said the suspects who are assisting police with investigations will be taken to court Tuesday.

The incident comes a month after a tonne of drugs kept as evidence in a Malindi court worth Sh10 million was destroyed in Mayungu.
