Kisumu assembly majority whip Gard Olima said the MCA has been hospitalised at Mater Hospital and is in stable condition.
Speaking to the Nation, Mr Olwal said his brother was driving when the accident happened, adding they sustained slight injuries.
He indicated that he was headed for a CT-scan at the hospital but maintained that he was not badly hurt.
A Kisumu MCA was involved in a road accident on Mombasa Road in Nairobi on Thursday morning.
Kolwa Central ward representative George Olwal was on his way to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport when his car rolled over.
According to Kisumu assembly majority whip Gard Olima, the MCA has been hospitalised at Mater Hospital and is in stable condition.
"Olwal was rushing to catch the morning flight to Kisumu when the accident happened. He is out of danger, I have even spoken to him," said Mr Olima.
Speaking to the Nation, Mr Olwal said his brother was driving when the accident happened, adding they sustained slight injuries.
He indicated that he was headed for a CT-scan at the hospital but maintained that he was not badly hurt.
“I hit my head hard and injured it and I am just going for some tests just to be sure I have no internal injuries. But I am okay and there is no cause for alarm,” said Mr Olwal.
The MCA is also the chairman of Planning, ICT and Industrialisation committee in the assembly.
