Nyahururu woman captured on camera defiling boy, 2, arrested

Police in Nyahururu town, Laikipia County, have arrested a 23-year-old woman who was captured on CCTV camera while defiling a two-and-a-half-year-old boy.

Nyahururu Sub-County Police Commander Geoffrey Mayek said the woman had been left with the toddler at Karuga area on the outskirts of Nyahururu town on Friday.  

 “The woman was captured on CCTV camera while fondling the minor’s private parts with her fingers before defiling the child that had been left under her care,” Mr Mayek said. 

He said the minor’s parents reported the matter to police after watching the CCTV footage.

The minor was taken to the Nyahururu County and Referral Hospital for examination.

Mr Mayek said police will press defilement charges against the suspect who was arrested on Sunday.
