Another suspect in Gatunguru principal’s death seized

The suspect was arrested at 3am on Tuesday at his home after the public tipped police officers that he had was at home.
According to the police, the suspect has been hiding and and returning home in the dead of night since the incident.
The suspect is alleged to have committed the crime together with the late principal’s wife, Alice Mugechi and one Samuel Harrison Gitu.
Another suspect was yesterday arraigned over the murder of Gatunguru Secondary School Principal Samuel Mbogo on May 13.
But Mr Francis Maina did not take a plea after chief magistrate V Ochanda directed that the suspect be taken for a psychiatric examination, and to allow the State to appoint a lawyer to represent him.
He will be charged on June18.

GOUGED OUT
“We have been following him and we managed to arrest him after the public tipped us off that he was at home," a detective who did not want to be identified told the Nation.
The suspect is alleged to have committed the crime together with the late principal’s wife, Alice Mugechi and one Samuel Harrison Gitu.
They later stuffed the principal's body in the boot of his car and left it at Gakurwe on the Murang'a-Kiriaini road.
The residents noted blood oozing from the boot of the car and opened it. Inside was the principal's body, with the eyes gouged out.
On May 14, Ms Mugechi and Mr Gitu pleaded not guilty to the charge of murder.
