Daughter of slain principal Mbogo gives emotional tribute

The principal who was killed last week has been laid to rest in Murang'a County.

The daughter of Mr Samuel Mbogo, who was the principal of Gatunguru Secondary School in Murang'a, talked of how humble and loving her father was.

Margret Wangari's eulogy left some of the mourners in tears.

Ms Wangari is a student at Kiriaini Girls High School.

Leaders who attended the funeral service at Gakurwe Girls Secondary School on Saturday urged the police to fast-track investigations so that the family may get justice.

Kenya National Union of Teachers Murang'a branch Secretary General Rosary Kamina said they will be following the matter closely.

SUSPECTS

Mr Mbogo's dead body was found staffed in his car at Gakurwe bus stop on the Muranga-Kiriaini road on May 13.

So far police have arrested his wife Alice Mugechi and Samuel Harrison Gitu as the main suspects.

Muranga Woman Representative Sabina Chege said she will hold a seminar for all male teachers in the region to train them on how to handle marital issues with civility.

Additionally, Ms Chege said she would sponsor the education of the late principal's two daughters: Ms Wangari and her sister who is at the Kenya Medical Training College.

Mr Mbogo, 50, has left behind five children.

The suspects will be charged on May 28.
