Nairobi family seeks help to find missing daughter

A Nairobi family is distraught over the disappearance of their daughter, Saadia Adan, went missing from school last month.
Ms Saadia is a Form One student at Ngara Girls High School in Nairobi.
According to the family, Saadia, who had gone home for the midterm break on Friday, June 15 was escorted to school by her elder sister, Halima Adan on Monday, June 25 at around 2pm.
"I dropped her inside the school and left as she was she being checked in together with other students,” said Halima.
On Wednesday evening we were informed that Saadia had gone missing from the school compound.
According to the school management, Saadia was last seen on June 27 at around 5:30pm, a claim the family disputes.
Her guardian, Ahmed Abdulahi, and her relatives said they visited the school on June 28 but were shocked to discover that although the school has installed CCTV cameras, there were none in the area where the school said she escaped through.
"According to the school principal, she escaped through the second gate near the football pitch," said Mr Ahmed.
Her relatives are calling on the government and the public to help trace their daughter’s whereabouts.
The family has since reported the matter to Pangani Police Station.
