Bomb experts detonated two explosives suspected to be grenades that were found in a maize plantation in Elburgon, Nakuru County.

The explosives were discovered by a Form Two student who had gone to their farm dispose garbage on Friday evening

The student said he found two metallic objects wrapped in a black polythene bag.

“I suspected that the two objects were bombs and quickly called my elder brother who then alerted the police,” said the 15-year-old student

Elburgon Administration Police Inspector John Mwanza urged area residents to be vigilant and report to authorities any suspicious objects.
