A vehicle plunged into a dam in Maji Moto on the Ewuaso Ng'iro-Sikinan road in Narok on Thursday evening.

A witness said the driver lost control of the vehicle, drove off road and plunged into the dam.

Emergency workers and traffic police led by Narok Traffic Commander Jane Nyaga arrived at the scene moments after the incident was reported.

No details were immediately available on the number of people who were in the vehicle.

The dam was built by Chinese contractors who are building the road leading to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
