Two families from Kinangop in Nyandarua County are agonising over the disappearance of their two sons aged nine and 13 years old.

Ms Esther Kuria, mother to Peter Waweru, 9, says her son went missing from Heni village on Sunday evening.

Ms Kuria, a businesswoman in Njoro, Nakuru County, said the son, a class one pupil at Henry Primary School, lives with his grandmother at Heni village.

“I came back home on getting the news of his disappearance. We have looked for him in all places we know including his friends’ homes; he is not in any of our relative's homes. It is very painful, Waweru is my firstborn and life is unbearable without him. I plead with anyone who knows his whereabouts to contact with us,” said the mother of two.

His grandmother Agnes Waweru described the boy as obedient, bright and ambitious.

In the second incident, Kennedy Kamande, a 13-year-old Standard Seven pupil at Mutonyora Primary School in Flyover market disappeared on Monday morning.

Mary Njeri, the boy’s grandmother, says she prepared the boy for school on Monday morning, but later in the day she learnt that he did not report to school.

“We have searched for him everywhere, including mortuaries but with no trace.

She said that the matter was reported to police who advised the family to continue looking for him.

Kinangop police boss Jane Munywoki said she is not aware of the two cases but promised to make a follow-up.
