Four die, several hurt as lorry and bus collide in Naromoru

Four people, among them two police officers, have died after the G4S lorry they were travelling in collided head on with an Moyale-bound bus at Msafiri along the Nairobi-Nanyuki highway.

The G4S lorry was ferrying luggage to Nairobi.

Three people were critically injured and rushed to the Nyeri County Referral Hospital for treatment while at least 16 others suffered minor injuries.

According to Naromoru OCPD Wilfred Sicharani, the collision happened at 11.45pm Thursday.

The OCPD said he could not immediately ascertain the cause of the collision.

He said investigations had been launched.

The vehicles were towed to Naroromoru Police Station.
