ODM's Charlton Andiego wins Central Sakwa ward seat

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate Mr Charlton Andiego has won the Central Sakwa ward seat in a by-election marked by low voter turnout.

The youthful politician garnered 3,816 votes to successfully inherit the seat from his late father John Andiego, who died in May this year while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital.

His only competitor, Mr Kendrick Orony of Citizen Convention Party (CCP), garnered 1,174 votes.
