A 32 year old man who disappeared after strangling his three-year-old son to death at Nyadhi village in Alego Usonga Sub-County, Siaya County last Sunday has been found dead.
The body of Boniface Onyango Olela who went missing after he allegedly killed his son in a domestic wrangle, was found at Ambira Sub-County hospital mortuary in Ugunja Sub-County on Thursday evening.
Kakumu Kombewa sub-location assistant chief Mr Philip Ogola told Saturday Nation that the body was positively identified by the father Mzee Wilson Olela.
According to the administrator, the family which has been searching for their son since he went missing, got information that an unknown body had been received at the Ambira Sub-County Hospital mortuary.
When the father went to check he was shocked to find that the body was his son's.
The family established that the body had been discovered by a farmer along River Nzoia who informed officers who arrived and took it to the mortuary.
Mr Ogola said the body is lying at Ambira Sub-County hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
Police had launched a manhunt for the man after he reportedly killed his son last week.
