Man killed by heavy rains in Tana River

  • Two children were also found dead inside pit filled with water in Bura town yesterday. 

  • The road at Bilbil remains impassable and vehicles headed to Nairobi have been forced to go through Garissa town.

One more person has died following heavy rains in Tana River bringing to three the number of people killed in rain-related incidents in the past two days in the county. 

The man drowned on Bilbil-Bura road following the downpour that destroyed the road. Two children were also found dead in pit filled with water in Bura town yesterday. 

Bura OCPD Tom Okoth urged locals to be cautious.

Meanwhile, the road at Bilbil remains impassable and vehicles headed to Nairobi have been forced to go through Garissa town.
