A family in Wajir County is appealing for help to take for treatment their ailing two-year-old child who is suffering from a respiratory and a heart condition.

In an interview with Nation, Mr Borrow Mohamed Ali, the child’s father, said he is unable to raise over Sh1 million required for the treatment of the child.

Mr Ali, who supplies water to residents using a donkey cart, says the little he gets from his business is not enough to cater for the child’s treatment.

He added that the child cannot sleep normally and has to be held face up to enable him breath.

He adds that after finishing his daily chores he returns home and takes over the duty of looking after the child.

“My wife who just recently gave birth looks after the child during the day and when I come back in the evening I take over holding the child till morning because he just can’t sleep without being held,” he said.

Mr Mohamed has appealed to the Wajir County government, local leaders, non-governmental organisations and Kenyans of goodwill to help him raise the money required to enable him take the child to hospital.

Well-wishers can contact the child's father, Burrow Mohamed Ali on 0720 681 815.
