Wajir MCAs conned by man posing as police chief

Six Wajir MCAs fell prey to a conman who impersonated the county police commander, Mr Stephen Ng’etich.

In an interview with Nation, Mr Ng’etich said the man called several ward reps informing them that he would give them guns “due to the growing insecurity”, but each would have to part with Sh20,000.

Mr Ng’etich said detectives were looking for the owner of the mobile phone number the money was sent to.
