A dash of local spendour at Collingham

In a verdant Nairobi suburb, a new boutique hotel springs elegantly from lush gardens. Designed and built by a native of Nairobi whose passion is landscape architecture, Collingham Gardens boasts ensuite rooms with private dining amenities as well as a paradise inspired garden.

A pool, gym, and bar area ensures that all the patrons are catered for, while the in-house chef, Maureen Obolla, specialises in fusion and international dishes.

The interiors are kept neutral with pale but warm coloured walls accented with luxurious chairs and imported tables. The upholstery was done on site with the help of local craftsmen who, by the look of things, were extremely skilled.

Outdoors, a rose garden with an arch forms a perfect backdrop for photography and the private gazebos in the sprawling garden provide a serene but private spot for small gatherings and meetings. Conference facilities have also been included in the building, making it a multi-purpose space for both business and leisure.

The rooms are spacious and each one is furnished in a unique and classy manner. A television is provided in the upper lounge of each wing as well as in the gym. Throughout the complex, priority is given to the awe-inspiring view of the great outdoors, especially the perfectly landscaped garden surrounding the facility.
