The 43-year-old rapper is set to release his new scent 'Gold' on November 20 exclusively at Barneys in New York - which he collaborated with as part of his fashion line - before it becomes available in the rest of the US at the end of the month.

Jay Z's fragrance licensee, Donald J. Loftus told WWD: "We are going to make a big noise. For the 30 days before Christmas, it will be impossible not to know he has a fragrance

"Jay stressed that he didn't want to do what had been done before."

The princes range from $39 to $70 for three different sized bottles, and there are also plans for a deodorant and shower gel to accompany the original fragrance as part of a gift set.

The product is expected to be released internationally in 2014.
