No blacks for this year’s Oscars?

There has been an uproar on social media on why this year’s Oscars nomination list did not include any black actors.

The nomination list, released on Thursday was deemed by many on social media as being “too white”.

Many expected David Oyelowo to get a nod for Best actor for his critically acclaimed film, Selma but he was snubbed and the movie, which many expected to dominate the awards received two nominations for Best picture and Best music.

Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel, however, commandeered the nominations collecting a combined nine nominations.
