Davido’s hits “If” and “Fall” have been banned. The Government of Nigeria, through the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), has banned Davido’s songs alongside Olamide’s “Wavy Level”, “Wo” and 9ice’s “Living Things”.

The five songs were considered offensive.

Some of the words used to describe Olamide’s are:  obscene, indecent, vulgar, lewd and profane but it’s still unclear why Davido’s songs have been banned.
“Fall”, released in June 2017, has already has attracted more than 17 million views on Vevo and Youtube while “If” released, in February 2017, has more than 36 million views. This is not the first time Davidos’ songs have been banned in his home country. Two years ago, his hit “Fans Mi” was banned on ground that the video promotes flamboyant lifestyles, violence, drug trafficking and indecent exposure.
