Slim, sleek and sexy, the newly launched Camon X and X pro are built for photo and selfie lovers, who also want class and functionality.

Though they have a lot of similarities, the Camon X pro, which is an advanced version of the Camon X, has higher specs in some areas. It also features the same slim, sexy, sleek and beautiful body with 6.0 inches screen, and only comes in one colour variant – red.

HIGHER SPECS

Tecno Mobile made a variant of the Camon X just like it did with the Camon CX last year, only that this time, the variant is a pro version with higher specs and better display.

The Tecno Camon X Pro features a 24MP front selfie camera, which is 4MP higher than the regular Camon X but has the same 16MP back camera as the X. The sensors, body size, processor, screen size and even the battery remain the same.

LAUNCH

Transsion Holdings, makers of Tecno Mobile, launched their latest gadgets in an event in Lagos, Nigeria, on April 5.

Tecno Mobile enjoys a huge market base in Africa and the launch taking place on African soil was more of an appreciation to their customers across the continent.

Nigeria’s Minister of Communication Abdur-Raheem Adebayo Shittu attended the launch and praised Transsion Holdings for providing three thousand jobs for Nigerians. He emphasised that it was important for investors to put up manufacturing firms in the West African country.

Transsion Holdings Vice president Andy Yan revealed that Tecno has partnered with Google to produce a range of affordable smartphones. “We take insights from our end users consumers’ habits, preferences and needs, to develop the next product that fits perfectly into their lifestyles. We are delighted to announce our partnership with Google,” said Yan.

Earlier, during a press briefing, Tecno General Manager Stephen Ha said: “Camon X comes with one of the best picture features and will definitely be a hit with the youth who love taking selfies.”
