THIRD EDITION

This year’s Kenya Yearbook is the third edition from the KYEB annual flagship publication, which reviews policies and plans as reflected in the work of government ministries, agencies, departments, state corporations, as well as the private sector and individuals on a yearly basis.

This latest release documents the strides that the country has made over the last 50 years and recognises the institutions that have made significant contributions to the lives of Kenyans.

The book also pays special tribute to numerous Kenyans from all walks of life and across all sectors and industries, who have played a part in building the country — highlighting the work of over 3,000 statesmen, industrialists, artists, businessmen, researchers and scholars, among many others.

Industrialist and philanthropist Manu Chandaria, Kenya’s first female MP Grace Onyango, 94-year retired teacher Mzee Meza Morana who composed the lullaby whose tune was used in creating the national anthem, pioneer African cardiologist Prof Hillary Peter Ojiambo, and sportsmen Samuel Wanjiru, Catherine Ndereba as well as Billy Konchellah are among notable personalities featured in Kenya Yearbook 2013/14.
