It seems the veteran disc jockey was not just blowing hot air when last year he challenged artistes and producers to help nurture and grow untapped young talent in the music industry. The deejay finally walked the talk when he launched the much maligned project dubbed “Dreams 2 Beats” at the Carnivore, which coincided with his 45th birthday, and unveiled two of his music protégées, Ayrosh and Pascal.

In a statement sent to Showbuzz, Pinye said: “We have been working with a few artistes so far, and have three singles done. Up-and-coming artistes Ayrosh and Pascal are some new acts we have been working with, as well as names that are a bit more familiar to the Kenyan audience, Amos and Josh. We are also planning to work with existing artistes who are interested.”

Pinye, who clocks 23 years in the deejaying industry, said “Dreams 2 Beats” is meant to give up-and-coming artistes guidance on the music and business side of the industry and knowledge that will keep them relevant for decades to come.

He is very confident that Ayrosh and Pascal will be two of the biggest acts in the country.
