I’m still Prezzo’s Girl - Lulu

Tiwa and Wizkid are simply friends

Nigerian star rapper CDQ, who was recently in the country for a video shoot at the Coast for an upcoming song, denied rumours that fellow stars Wizkid and Tiwa Savage are dating.

Wizkid and Tiwa have created a strong bond on and off the stage, leading many of their fans across the continent to believe the two could be having a secret love affair.

Various pictures of Wizkid and Tiwa embracing passionately during live performances have farther fuelled the debate. However, whereas majority of their fans continue to believe that the two could actually be having a secret affair, CDQ - who is very close to Wizkid – denies this.

“Hahaha! It’s all love out there,” CDQ said in an interview with a local station, implying that Wizkid and Tiwa are nothing but just good friends.

CDQ collaborated with Wizkid on their hit song “Nowo E Soke” that received massive airplay.

Royalties must be paid - Sakaja

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja now wants all media and corporates that are not paying royalties to local musicians for playing their songs to be de-registered. Majority of the local acts have been complaining of the unfair treatment they receive from players such as local TV and radio stations, as well as private corporates who often use their works in promoting their brands but never pay them royalties.

Now Sakaja has joined in the push to ensure that they get value for their music, with his idea being the de-registration of all the corporates that won’t pay royalties. “Broadcasters that are not paying royalties must be de-registered.”

The politician now wants the Communication Authority to act swiftly and investigate all the stations that are enjoying local music content without paying, to de-register and suspend their licenses until they sort out the royalties claims with the artistes.

Drake in search of the one?

Famous Canadian rapper Drake appears to be casually dating and rediscovering what he likes, if his latest moves are anything to go by. Recently, Drake was first spotted out with an English singer, Raye, before moving on to Malaika Terry.

A few days after that he was linked to another gorgeous lady, Kash Doll, and now he is making waves with curvaceous model Zmeena Orr, who definitely fits the bill in terms of the singer’s stated preferences of a lady.

On his featured song with female rapper Nicki Minaj “Only” Drake raps, “She say I’m obsessed with thick women and I agree/ Yeah, that’s right, I like my girls BBW.” If Drake is indeed dating Zmeena, whom he was spotted out with four nights ago in Toronto, he should definitely be a happy man.
