JUST BRENDA: How do I move on after a heartbreak?

Hi Brenda,

How do you manage to go on after a heartbreak from someone you love so much? And the person tells you he has married someone else yet you expected him to marry you? Help a sister.

Hi,

I'm sorry about your heartbreak, and I'm especially sorry that this person has even gotten married post break-up, and is still communicating to you about it.

This is a lesson for you in the midst of your pain.

Clearly this guy wasn't in love with you – or maybe he was in love with you but not committed to you.

Either way, he made his choice, and you need to examine why and how this choice was made. Was he with this person before you? Did he tell you about her? Were there any flags you were ignoring?

Closure may not be possible with this guy as he is already married so you have to find closure for yourself, and remember who you were before you got into this relationship. Remember the things you used to do and enjoy before him, because you must move on – he clearly has.
