Tanzanian rapper Chidi Benz is happy that his illegal drugs case, which has been in court since last year is finally over.

“I didn’t bring any trouble to the court during the entire time, I did everything the court ordered me to do.

I also did not deny the charges pressed against me,” Chidi told Tanzanian radio Clouds FM. Chidi was arrested at Julias Nyerere airport in Dar es Salaam last October with illegal drugs.

He was locked up for two days before being released on bond. On Thursday, he was given a sentence of either two years in jail or to pay a fine of TSh900,000 (Sh45,000).
