Meghan Markle’s ex-husband Trevor Engelson has agreed to delay the release of his TV show that depicts a man whose wife leaves him for a British prince.

According to The Sun Meghan is said to be “be “embarrassed and  deeply upset” by her ex-hubby's plans to make and release a  comedy TV show depicting her romance with Prince Harry as well as their past.

The reports claim that Meghan’s  friends held secret talks with Trevor, a film producer, in a bid to persuade him to ditch the idea of releasing the sitcom  on her relationship with the royals.

It is said that after the intense deliberations, Trevor  gave in and agreed not to move on with the plan of the release not at least before the wedding that takes place tomorrow at Windsor royals family residence.

Trevor pitched the idea to media mogul Rupert Murdoch’s Fox Network last year about a fairy tale romance with a royal.

The 41-year-old then did a script about a divorcee who remarries a British prince and wonders how it would be like for the ex-husband character  to have a shared custody of children with the royal family.
A pilot episode of the comedy show was to be released before the wedding but Trevor decided to suspend it for the next few weeks after the many pleas from Meghan’s camp.

A senior TV executive who asked not to be  mentioned was quoted by The Sun as saying “Trevor’s project is currently on hold after several months of anguish for Meghan.

She reached out to him at first through friends and now they have kept up the pressure and Trevor has pushed things back.

"The couple has barely spoken since their divorce, but she did reach out to him with Harry’s agreement -to thank him for not telling their story in public.”

Besides one reason of postponing the  release of the project being Meghan reaching out, there is also the fact that it could flop by going straight up at the new royals on their D-Day, given their popularity.
