American hip-hop star Rick Ross has arrived in Kenya.

He will perform at the Carnivore grounds on Saturday at the much anticipated launch of NRG radio.

Flanked by heavy-set bodyguards, he waved to the crowds as he was directed towards the press conference area before being whisked away to his hotel by a police escort and a convoy of sleek vehicles ranging from Range Rovers, Mercedes Benz AMG, BMW i8, V8 Landcruiser and Sparks from Ongata Line Sacco.

The artiste flew in from Miami from shooting a video for his upcoming album Port of Miami 2: “I’m excited to be here, will make sure me and my team will make the performance a moment to remember forever,” he said during the press conference which lasted less than ten minutes.

Rick Ross collaborated with bongo flava heart-throb Diamond in the hit song “Waka Waka” but this marks his first visit to East Africa. He is scheduled to tour the city before his performance.
