American hip-hop star Rick Ross has arrived in Kenya.
He will perform at the Carnivore grounds on Saturday at the much anticipated launch of NRG radio.
Flanked by heavy-set bodyguards, he waved to the crowds as he was directed towards the press conference area before being whisked away to his hotel by a police escort and a convoy of sleek vehicles ranging from Range Rovers, Mercedes Benz AMG, BMW i8, V8 Landcruiser and Sparks from Ongata Line Sacco.
The artiste flew in from Miami from shooting a video for his upcoming album Port of Miami 2: “I’m excited to be here, will make sure me and my team will make the performance a moment to remember forever,” he said during the press conference which lasted less than ten minutes.
Rick Ross collaborated with bongo flava heart-throb Diamond in the hit song “Waka Waka” but this marks his first visit to East Africa. He is scheduled to tour the city before his performance.
The artist line up for the concert includes Khalighraph Jones, Nyashinski and Camp Mulla. The show kicks off at 6pm.
