Uhuru Kenyatta's ICC case deadlocked - prosecutor
The prosecution has told International Criminal Court judges that the status of President Uhuru Kenyatta case is deadlocked, saying the Kenyan Government had not cooperated with the court.
Kenya's Attorney-General Githu Muigai, however, denied the claims, saying the details provided by the prosecution could not be acted on as they were not specific.
The ICC judges were expected to rule on the matter later.
Prof Muigai was at The Hague-based court for a status conference, to respond to the prosecution's allegation that Kenya had not complied with requests to provide material that it requires as evidence in the case.
The prosecution argued that the Kenyan Government had been reluctant to hand over documents or provide access to potential witnesses.
The prosecution has asked ICC judges for a formal finding of non-cooperation against the Kenya Government for failing to provide financial records associated with President Kenyatta.
