An Administration Police officer is among three men arrested for attempting to strip a woman Sunday in Komarock, Nairobi.
Police said the four men confronted the woman as she walked home from the Calvary Church in Komarock accompanied by another woman.
The men attempted to strip one of the women but members of the public intervened and rescued them.
Two men who were among the rescuers were injured.
A windscreen of a bus operating the Komarock route was also broken during the confrontation.
Police who came to the scene discovered that one of the attackers was an Administration Police officer.
The incident came barely a week after hundreds of protesters took to Nairobi streets to condemn the humiliating public stripping of three Kenyan women earlier this month.
The mobilisation for the protest started last week through social media under the hashtag #MyDressMyChoice.
Last week, police arrested at least 100 men in Kayole for stripping a woman.
