Aboud Rogo's son smashes journalist’s camera in court

There was drama at a Mombasa court Thursday after the son of slain Muslim cleric Sheikh Aboud Rogo confronted a Reuters photographer and damaged his camera.

The boy, Dhulkifli Rogo, was incensed after photographers took pictures of his mother, Hania Said Sagar, who was in the dock.

He damaged a camera belonging to Joseph Okanga.

Ms Sagar was arrested Wednesday evening and is expected to face terrorism-related charges.

Mr Rogo, who was described by Kenyan and Western security agencies as an Al-Shabaab recruiter, was killed in a drive-by shooting by unknown assailants on the Mombasa-Malindi road on August 27, 2012 .

An inquest into his killing opened in 2013 and in October 2015, police were absolved from blame in the killing.
