Joseph Kinyua directs civil servants to report to work

Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua has directed all civil servants to report back to work, following a successful General Election.
Mr Kinyua, in a letter signed today and sent to principal secretaries, further said that Tuesday's election was peaceful.
"Consequently, you are required (PSs) to forward to this office by close of business tomorrow (August 11) names of all those who will have reported to work in your respective ministries/departments," the letter said.
The letter was also copied to all Cabinet secretaries.
The electoral agency has said it will formally announce the winner on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Nasa has protested to preliminary results indicating that Mr Uhuru Kenyatta of Jubilee is ahead of Mr Raila Odinga.
