Congolese music maestro General Defao is being detained in a Mombasa hotel for failing to pay Sh20,000 bill.

The musician was detained on Saturday for failing to pay the bill for food and accommodation.
He is detained at Rickseaside Villas in Nyali.

He told journalists that a club in Mombasa has refused to clear the bill.

He said he checked in at the hotel on July 28 and performed last Saturday.

The musician said the club management asked him to stay and perform on August 3. However, he did not perform.

The bill for his stay between July 28 and August 1 was already cleared but the club failed to pay for the additional four days.
