Maureen was a third year student. She was allegedly killed by a prison warder, Sergeant Dismas Motogwa Gitenge, who police say was drink-driving.

Sergeant Gitenge is said to have driven 3km from the scene of the accident near NextGen Mall with her body on the roof of his car before dumping it in South C Estate.

Friends and Family on Thursday met at the Kenyatta University Funeral Home to view her body and plan funeral arrangements with university officials.

He pleaded not guilty to the first two charges.

But he pleaded guilty to the third count and was fined Sh10,000. He is remanded at Industrial Area Prison.
