An Imam in Malindi was on Thursday found guilty of sodomising his nine-year-old stepson and buying his silence with Sh10.
Malindi Principal Magistrate Silvia Wewa said the prosecution had proved beyond reasonable doubt that the renowned imam in the county, had sodomised the minor.
He committed the offence on March 23, 2016.
Ms Wewa gave the prosecution two weeks to conduct a social audit of the accused before he is sentenced. She ordered the convict be remanded at the Malindi Maximum Prison for 14 days.
