DoD impostor arrested for selling fake tenders

A 35-year-old man accused of pretending to be a Department of Defence colonel will be arraigned in court on Thursday.
Police arrested Mr Erick Otieno Atanga, the suspect, on Wednesday, following reports that he has been defrauding people while impersonating as a DoD officer.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, he is accused of defrauding unsuspecting members of the public by selling them fake DoD tenders.
The suspect is also accused of obtaining money by false pretences.
