LSK elections: Mutua takes an early lead

Outgoing Law Society of Kenya (LSK) chairman Eric Mutua has taken an early lead in the society's elections held Thursday across the country.

With results from 20 out of 33 polling stations having been released, Mr Mutua is now leading with 1184 votes.

He is followed by Charles Kanjama with 305 votes while Mr Ambrose Weda is third with 203 votes.

Meanwhile Tom Ojienda has also taken an early lead in the race to represent lawyers in the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

Mr Ojienda is leading with 1194 votes followed by Ahmednasir Abdullahi who has garnered1044 votes.

In the third place is Okong'o Omogeni with 404 votes while Ndegwa Kabaru is fourth with 92 votes with results from 24 out 33 polling stations having been announced.
