Pastor James Ng'ang'a to be charged after evidence gaps closed

More evidence implicating Pastor James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism in the fatal road crash which claimed the life of a woman has been gathered and he may face charges in court later this week.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has said there is enough evidence to file a case against the preacher for “causing death through dangerous driving.”

He said more witnesses recorded statements with police officers “to close the gaps” earlier cited in the case file.

The team handling the file is expected to hand it to the DPP later Monday.

It was taken to the DPP last week but “some gaps” were identified.

A team investigating the case has since interrogated six more witnesses and filled the gaps, sources said.

Ms Mercy Njeri, 38, died in the accident while her husband Mr Martin Mbugua Ndung'u survived with multiple injuries.

A man who was fronted as the driver of the Ranger Rover vehicle that rammed the couple’s saloon car will be charged with giving false information to the police.
