One of the pastors killed by a mob in Mombasa died just one day after returning from his honeymoon.
Pastor Jackson Kioko of Melchidizek church of Buxton wedded Damaris Kioko two weeks ago.
On Wednesday, the bride-turned widow called for thorough investigations to get to the bottom of the killings.
“I have so many questions since I was not informed about the death of my husband on time. It is until today, more than 24 hours after the death of my husband, that a senior church member informed me about the incident,” said Mrs Kioko.
She said she learned about the death of her husband when she went to Changamwe police station to report his disappearance.
She said her husband did not return home after he went out on his first assignment after the honeymoon.
“Our gifts are still intact and we have not even received the photos which we took during our colourful wedding,” she said.
The two were lynched when they went to a home of Mr Mutana Nyandua, a Muslim said to have been recently converted to Christianity.
But Mrs Mapenzi Abdalla, a relative of Mr Nyandua, denied this saying all family members were Muslims and none had converted.
Police are yet to make any arrests in the incident.
