Thugs shoot University of Nairobi student

A student at the University of Nairobi was on Sunday night shot and injured in the abdomen by thugs while he was walking home from duty at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union Secretary-General Ouma Oluga said the medical student, who was shot at around 1am, is currently in the Intensive Care Unit and was listed in a stable condition.
“We will rally members countrywide to stop night duties until secured transport is assured by all hospitals,” added Dr Oluga.
He said the student will undergo surgery.
