Former Nairobi Central Business District Association chairman Timothy Muriuki told the court that he had forgiven Mr Mbugua, Mr Benjamin Odhiambo alias Solo and Mr Anthony Ombok alias Jamal.

He said he decided to drop the charges unconditionally after negotiations.

The three had been charged with violently stealing Sh100,000 from Mr Muriuki on April 30.

They were also charged with injuring him during the attack at Hotel Boulevard in Nairobi County.

After denying the charges, they were released on bond.
