Yvonne Wamalwa, widow of former Vice President Michael Wamalwa Kijana is dead, a family source says.
Mrs Wamalwa died at her sister's home in Nanyuki on Thursday morning.
The family is currently making arrangements to airlift her body to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi.

Until her death, Mrs Wamalwa was the Deputy Director in the Asia and Australasia Directorate in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
She married Mr Wamalwa in 2003.
The former vice president died on 23 August, aged 58, at London's Royal Free Hospital, where he had been undergoing treatment for several weeks.
