Covid-19: Riek Machar tests positive

South Sudan's First Vice-President Riek Machar has tested positive for Covid-19.

Dr Machar's wife, Defence Minister Angelina Teny and a number of his office staff including his bodyguards, also tested for the virus according to a statement from his office. 

“The First Vice-President of the Republic of South Sudan, H.E Dr Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon, and Madam angelina Teny, plus a number of his office staff and bodyguards have tested positive with Covid-19 disease," a statement from Dr Machar's office said on Monday.
