Madgascar premier, ministers tender their resignation

Madagascar’s Prime minister Roger Kolo and his government have resigned, official information stated.

Mr Kolo and the ministers were appointed in April last year.

Office of the president’s secretary-general, Gen Roger Ralala, addressed the nation on Monday night reading out the decree stating the government’s official resignation.

“President Hery Rajaonarimampianina accepted the Premier’s decision and that of the entire governmental team,” he said.

However, the leader requested them to continue with their duties until their successors were named.

The incoming Cabinet is expected over the next few days, an unofficial source claimed.
