Passenger bus stoned in DR Congo capital

A bus transporting people of European extraction came under attack in Kinshasa, from locals who claimed they had brought coronavirus to the DR Congo.

The mostly youthful Congolese, hurled stones and insults at the bus passengers at the Boulevard Lumumba.

It, however, turned out that the bus passengers were members of a French community based in Muanda, in Kongo Central, who had arrived in Kinshasa in order to fly to France.

DR Congo has confirmed 123 coronavirus cases in the country. So far, 8 people have died from the virus and three people reported recovered.
