Actress Elizabeth Michael, alias Lulu, has started her community service sentence in Dar es Salaam.

The actress, who was handed two years in 2017 over the death of actor Steven Kanumba in 2012, will be cleaning at the Home Affairs ministry.

Speaking to The Citizen on Tuesday, National Probation Service director Charles Nsanze said Lulu will join nine other prisoners at the ministry.

He explained that the actress will spend four hours every day and then proceed with her personal schedule.

Mr Nsanze said Lulu started serving her community-service sentence on Monday, and will continue until November.

“She will only do her community work on week days and rest on the weekends,” the director said.
