It is now mandatory for all UK visa applications to be completed online, according to a memo released by the British High Commission.

The move, which took effect from February 3, 2014, is intended to make application process more efficient and consistent with global trends.
It will also enable the UK Government cut costs in the management of visas operation thus reduce visa fees significantly.
On the other hand, customers and staff will also benefit from reduced risks associated with handling large amounts of cash during the visa application process.
