LIMITED SPACES

On Wednesday, the Daystar’s Corporate Affairs Manager Damaris Kimilu, in a press statement, said the programme has limited spaces and will only admit 60 students per year.

“The Daystar University School of Law campus is located next to the Daystar Nairobi campus and is fully resourced for teaching and learning, including a digitised library, computer labs, a moot court and the necessary teaching and support staff,” she said.

She said that besides the academic programme, the school of law will also operate the Centre for Medical Law and Ethics which is focused on offering support services in research, training and advocacy.

ZETECH

At the same time, Zetech University has received approval by CUE to offer two new bachelor’s degree programmes.

Vice Chancellor Njenga Munene said the university will now offer a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Diplomacy and Bachelor of Economics and Statistics.

“The launch of the programme comes in the wake of increased demand for training in international relations and economics, and the university says it is keen to produce competent professionals who can positively impact the world,” said Prof Munene.

He added that the university’s council and management board are proud of the new development and the role it will play in meeting the demand for skilled and highly trained personnel in the two fields.

Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academics, Research, Extension and Student Affairs Alice Njuguna said the launch of the programmes is a testament of the growth of the university.

“We believe they will attract a large number of learners and our faculty is equipped to offer quality training to those who register for the courses,” said Dr Njuguna.
