Knec extends KCPE, KCSE registration deadline

The Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) has extended examination registration period to March 7.

Acting chief executive Mercy Karogo said the decision was arrived at to allow students in remote areas such as North Eastern region to register.

“We have increased the window for registration to allow those who missed to register after we received a number of requests,” said Ms Karogo.

Registration had been concluded on February 28 with 1,712,537 candidates having listed.

A total 1,053,099 candidates had registered for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination while 659,438  had registered for Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education test.

Last year, a total of 1,003,556 candidates registered for KCPE while 615,773 registered for KCSE.
