Gatundu MP Moses Kuria has denied allegations that he was behind opposition leader Raila Odinga’s heckling in Kiambu on Thursday.

Speaking in Voi on Friday evening during the Mbele Iko Sawa campaign rally, Mr Kuria said he was not in Kiambu when the incident happened.

He told off opposition leaders for linking him with the political intolerance they experienced from Jubilee supporters.

“Yesterday I was in Mombasa campaigning. They should stop associating me with their misfortunes,” he said.

He questioned why the National Super Alliance (Nasa) leader remained silent when President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto experienced the same intolerance in Kisumu earlier this week.

He said Jubilee is a peace loving party which cannot indulge in planning for chaos.

“Raila is free to campaign anywhere in all Jubilee strongholds but he should also tell his supporters to welcome Jubilee leaders when they go to seek votes in their zones,” he said.

He asked the opposition leader to start preaching peace in his own backyard before he points fingers at other leaders.
